Shelley WB, Shelley ED
In their February 1994 entries, the Shelleys place a large emphasis on hair and nail disorders that are commonly underrecognized in the dermatologic community. They also discuss good side effects of drugs such as methotrexate, erythromycin, and more. The Shelleys also express their concerns of the battles raging over low-cost health care, future funding of academic centers, and consumer-directed research.
An anecdote from these entries: "If you stay within your shell, you will never be on the cutting edge, but it's a lot safer within. We like to live on the edge, where the view is better and you can see farther."
