A Dermatologic Diary: Portrait of a Practice (Cutis. 1993;52:81-88)
Shelley WB, Shelley ED

In their June 1993 entries the Shelleys took us to Minneapolis for the University of Minnesota Medical School alumni weekend for Dr. W.B. Shelley's 50-year reunion. They also recounted a telephone call from a urologist who used their razor blade technique in treating recurrent herpes simplex; the caller said, "Your excision is for once only." Other anecdotes include a patient who discovered that oral methotrexate was better tolerated when taken at 8 PM, 8 AM, and 8 PM; the need for satisfaction-effective care instead of cost-effective care; and answering glossitis with a careful history.
